Zebec Network, the blockchain-based platform enabling real-world value flows across both traditional and digital economies, today announced the acquisition of Gatenox, a leading compliance and identity orchestration platform. The strategic move brings native Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Know-Your-Business (KYB), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) infrastructure directly into the Zebec infrastructure – eliminating reliance on third-party providers and unlocking new growth in regulated, enterprise-grade markets.
Gatenox delivers real-time, AI-powered identity solutions designed for Web3 environments. Its wallet-aware, API-first architecture allows exchanges, DAOs, fintechs, and digital platforms to onboard users in minutes while maintaining high compliance standards. Gatenox’s proven integrations with global banks and enterprise partners provide Zebec with production-grade tools to scale securely.
This acquisition advances Zebec’s mission to build a full-stack programmable financial platform – combining streaming payroll and payments, on-chain rails, non-custodial crypto cards, and now a native compliance layer. It also complements Zebec AI, Zebec’s system for automating transaction monitoring, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention.
“Regulation is no longer optional. It’s infrastructure,” said Neal Padhye, Head of M&A at Zebec. “With Gatenox, we’re embedding compliance into the foundation of programmable finance – making Zebec faster, safer, and ready for institutional scale.”
Beyond product integration, the deal strengthens Zebec’s market positioning. Gatenox’s SaaS-style B2B revenue stream adds financial resilience to the protocol model. The combined offering enables Zebec to serve high-value clients who require both speed and regulatory clarity such as funds, neobanks, and fintech platforms.
As part of the acquisition, Gatenox Co-Founder and COO Wojtek Zatorski will join Zebec as a Compliance Advisor. A seasoned entrepreneur with over two decades in banking, payments, and fintech, Wojtek helped build BLIK (Eastern Europe’s leading mobile payment network), later acquired by Mastercard. In 2024 alone, BLIK processed over 2.4 billion transactions.
“As we grow our presence in regulated markets, strengthening our compliance capabilities is mission-critical,” continued Padhye, “Wojtek’s track record – from Co-Founder of BLIK to Co-Founder of Gatenox – brings unmatched expertise at the intersection of fintech and regulation. We’re excited to welcome him to the team.”
With this acquisition, Zebec is positioned to offer one of the most comprehensive on-chain stacks for compliant real-time payments and payroll – built to serve the evolving needs of both Web3-native and traditional financial players.
